WebDec 17, 2024 · This seems to be the big problem that I see with field coil drivers. Unless you get the type that can take up to 12 V DC, the power supply is the real issue. It creates the strong magnetic field against which the weaker voice coil magnetic field bounces off of. And the magnetic field of the field coil must be as smooth and noise free as possible.
