WebThe Epiphone is a solid body bass with mini humbuckers. It has more in common with the Gibson EB-1 Violin Bass than the Hofner. The Hofner is a really good recreation of a vintage Hofner but with slightly different pickups. It is a true hollowbody bass. Both are good basses and work well with short scale flat wound strings.
